A+ Tutoring
ASCIS offers a variety of tutoring opportunities for students on campus. Students can take advantage of our free peer tutoring program as well as our paid A+ tutoring program for those looking for professional registered on-campus tutors.
Peer Tutoring Information
Program Information
Our free peer program matches older qualified students with younger students to help support them with areas of difficulty. Sign up for tutors occurs in the fall each year with students being matched shortly after tutors are registered. Older students can receive volunteer hours, and build resume experience while younger students can get up to 1 hour a week in free tutoring. Subjects and tutors are subject to current availability and tutor assignments are not guaranteed.
Upper School Subjects
Upper School subjects include mathematics, science, biology, chemistry, physics, and french.
Elementary School Subjects
Elementary School subjects include mathematics, science, French, reading, writing, spelling, or general homework support.
A+ Tutoring Information
Program Information
The A+ Tutorial Learning Centre is open for families whose children require more individual and special help with some of the courses that they are studying at ASCIS:
- Parents may book packages for 10 sessions at 1 hour in length each
- All sessions are payable in advance to mmihai@stececile.ca with the memo: A+ Tutorial
- Students can book tutoring sessions during spares as well as before or after school
- All tutoring sessions are located on campus
- Students can sign up for A+ tutoring by contacting their corresponding school principal
Upper School Subjects
Upper School subjects include mathematics and science courses, as well as IELTS preprartion.
Elementary School Subjects
Elementary School subjects include mathematics and science courses, English, French, and foundational support (writing, reading, mathematic drills).

The focus of our tutoring options are to give our students the additional support and accommodation they need as they need it to give students the tools to advance their understanding, skills, and development. ASCIS tutoring is to be a temporary means of support to allow students to stream back into the regular classroom setting as they learn the skills necessary to continue with our curriculum expectations within the course or strand that requires more individualized attention.
